Thank you notes and more

Whatever happened to thank you notes?  Even in today’s world of instant communication, one of my favorite ways to express thanks (or any sentiment really) is good old-fashioned pen and paper.  Most of my friends and family know this about me and over the years they’ve helped me gather a delicious collection of stationary, note cards, sticky pads and exquisite writing utensils.  Sending actual handwritten notes has become so rare. I find that regardless of what my little note says, most people just enjoy receiving something in the mail that isn’t a bill or advertisement.  Next time you have something to say—special or not—why not send a little handwritten note?
