La Vie en Rose

My little sister walked down the aisle to La Vie en Rose by Louis Armstrong  this past Saturday.  Okay, so she’s not so little any more. Still, I call her ‘babe’ more often than I call her by her given name.

Festivities began weeks ago at her bridal shower.

The bridal shower was followed by a hot bachelorette party.  Unfortunately, I don’t have a single photo from that event that I can put online (at least not one showing any of the bridesmaids with any self-respect). So, on to the wedding..

The wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Camden Club in Baltimore.

Their wedding colors: yellow, black and white. The ribbon wall was the backdrop for the ceremony.

We set up the ribbon wall up on Friday afternoon during the wedding rehearsal.  The rehearsal was followed by a few drinks at Pickles Pub and dinner at Matsuri’s–one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to.

Vintage stamps with the bride and groom’s initials.

The ceremony and reception were beautiful.  It was one of those weddings that you have so much fun at, you know only good things are to come.

To my sister and her new husband: We love you both and wish you every happiness in your future together.
