Whole lotta organizing going on

Now that we’ve had some time to step back from the BIG kitchen “to do” list, we’ve started to think about some of the smaller details.  Among them, organizing kitchen draws and cabinets.  Unfortunately, I missed capturing before pics.  But when hubby’s feeling motivated to clean or organize, I generally keep my mouth shut and let the magic happen.

A feast for the eyes. Have you ever seen a more lovely utensil draw? Loving the bamboo organizers we picked up from Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Yes, we really do use all of these utensils. And, we've got lots more well-used utensils stashed elsewhere.

While we were at Bed, Bath & Beyond, we went ahead and picked up one of those tiered spice racks.

There’s just something about a well-organized space that makes my heart happy.  We still have to tackle the pantry, but I’m not in any rush.  We’re still learning how we work and move in the space. I’ve found it’s worthwhile taking time to learn how you use a space and organize it in a way that puts the most often used items in accessible locations while lesser used items find spots on higher shelves or the back of the cabinet.
